Karate Australia has been admitted as Sporting Schools’ 40th national sporting organisation partner from Term 3, 2024.
Both primary and secondary schools can select karate in Term 3 grant applications, with karate the first and only martial art sport currently available for secondary schools.
Karate Australia’s newly developed programs focus on personal well-being and confidence by developing the skills, knowledge and understanding required to enable students to cope with the demands of an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.
KarateKids is on offer for primary schools, with the KarateTeens program available for students in Years 7 and 8 in secondary schools.
“Karate Australia is excited to see the KarateKids and KarateTeens programs included into Sporting Schools, with member clubs and instructors across the country looking forward to delivering in schools from Term 3.” said Hani Zahra, President of Karate Australia.
“The KarateKids and KarateTeens programs centre on empowering confidence by developing the skills, knowledge and understanding of the sport. The programs focus on anti-bullying techniques and introduce students to the ever-growing number of opportunities for further involvement in our sport.”
More information on Karate Australia’s offerings will be available soon on the Sporting Schools website.
